I bought an ORBEA a while ago: Delivered in under two weeks: no marks or scratches on the frame. The bike is really well made; after 300 km I haven’t had any problems -> it was perfectly assembled and the adjustments were spot on. The staff didn’t try to push me into buying extra bits: That’s actually the only slight downside, really: I didn’t realise you could upgrade to more effective brakes and I regret that now – the brakes are really rubbish... but it’s not really their fault – it’s the brand that designed it that way. The advice on everything else was spot on, given with professionalism and a smile to boot. I highly recommend them ++++.

I popped into the shop to ask how much a minor bike repair would cost, and they told me €15–20. I thought to myself, ‘OK, that’s a fair price.’ I left the bike there. When I went back to collect it, I was in for a surprise: €50 😁🤣 Well, it’s a professional shop, so I’ll just go along with it. I paid €50 and headed home. As I was cycling, I could tell it wasn’t really any better… I checked the wheel: it wasn’t quite straight. I went back to the shop and asked the mechanic if that was normal. He replied: ‘To get it any better than that, you’ll have to pay more’ 😁🤣 A real French comedy. You should be ashamed of such responses. If I said I paid €50, that means I did indeed pay €50. I’m not the sort of person who lies. You charged me €41.79 plus €8 for the brake pads, which I’d already paid for the first time. And you’ve included them in the price, so 41.79 + 8 = €49.79. Yes, sorry, I was €0.21 out. And if your employee says the price is between €15 and €20, then it’s between €15 and €20. But if the price goes up, you need to contact the customer and get their approval. I think that’s how it works – do you agree with me?
