Our family loved the bike tour and picnic lunch. We learned history, had a lovely bike ride which was flat and easy for all in our group. It was a warm day but biking was perfect for the day. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and attentive to group needs. Of note, after bike tour ends, you say goodbye to your guide and tour palace on your own. The crowds are incredible and I struggled with feeling claustrophobic. While I love the history, the palace was my least favorite part due to the crowds. Large tour groups clog up the main areas, people with no self awareness and we were constantly watching people create issues so they could get a perfect picture. I know it's a timed entry system but it doesn't feel that way- really chaotic.

We did the full day VIP tour today and it was fantastic!! Even with the heat it was all very enjoyable. Patryk (sorry if misspelled) was a wonderful, knowledgeable and engaging host. Plenty of interesting information. On the practical side: the bikes are very easy with comfortable seats, baskets provided for food and the rides were not too strenuous. Plenty of toilet & water fountain breaks. Very knowledgeable about the market with lots of picnic ideas. The whole day was completely stress free and so we could cope with being let loose in the manic public rooms after our lovely private tour of the king’s apartments (there was always free space available if you walk on to the next area). We also got lots of family photos taken which is such a bonus for us! I was worried about the cost involved for our family of four but this company is very well run with amazing staff and equipment and clearly a tried and tested itinerary! I would highly recommend! It was money well spent and probably the highlight of our holiday!

We were a party of 8 with 4 underage; did half day tour meeting near Versailles. This was such a great way to explore the grounds of Versailles. The voucher says to meet at the company office however the bikes and check in are actually around the corner of the building where they can easily set out the bikes. From the moment we arrived the staff were so very friendly and accommodating. Soto was our guide and we felt so lucky to have him. It was a perfect mix of history and fun. The light rain didn’t even dampen our tour. I think this is the only way to do Versailles as the grounds are just too large and I can’t recommend this tour group enough.

We rented bikes in Versailles and rode to the market, where we got ourselves picnic supplies, then to the Petit Trianon and along the Grand Canal before entering the ticketed garden area and palace. We ended up spending a lot less time on the grounds and in the palace than the amount of time we had allotted ourselves, and our kids just wanted to ride along the Grand Canal until it was time to return the bikes. It was so much fun. While the palace and gardens were fun to see, the best part of our day by far was riding bikes. The tag-along bike was especially popular with our 7-year-old and our 5-year-old. We were so glad we chose to do Versailles by bike. We were very grateful for the friendly and helpful staff at the bike shop, who not only patiently helped us find the right size bike for our 10-yr-old, but also explained where to ride and park with a map, answered all of our questions, and encouraged my daughter who was nervous about riding through city streets. They made sure we had all of our belongings when we left, too. Overall, it was such a positive, smooth experience. Would highly recommend!

What an amazing day for our family! We have two kids, 9 & 11 years old, and they absolutely loved this full day of adventuring in Versailles! Going thru the local market and immersing more readily in the local French culture, and then the amazing grounds we biked around with Bart as the most amazing tour guide, was truly incredible! We all agreed it was one of our favorite days of our entire trip! Highly recommend if you have a full day to give to this tour! It’s a delightful day!
