Gallipoli is a wonderful place to discover by bike: the town is on a human scale, the sea air accompanies every pedal stroke, and the light of the Salento enhances both the narrow streets and the long coastlines. From the center, you can quickly reach the historic heart of the town, set on an islet with its light-colored facades, lively little squares and views of the Ionian Sea. In the morning, when the city wakes up, it's the ideal time to enjoy the peace and quiet and the panoramic views.

For a more "natural" ride, head for the beaches and pinewoods: the road runs alongside the water, alternating between open areas and shady passages, and offering plenty of places to take a break. If you like to photograph, plan a few stops: between the colorful boats, the reflections on the water and the sunsets, there's no shortage of opportunities.
