Exploring Locorotondo by bike is the ideal way to enjoy one of the most beautiful villages in the Itria Valley. Its white, flower-filled alleyways, small belvederes and lively squares are effortless to discover, with the freedom to stop whenever a panorama calls for a photo... or a coffee break.

Just a few pedal strokes from the historic center, the countryside opens up like a postcard setting: dry-stone walls, silvery olive groves and carefully aligned vineyards. Secondary roads wind gently between trulli and masserie, perfect for a leisurely stroll with your partner, family or friends. If you prefer a longer ride, connect the neighboring villages by alternating short climbs and long, quiet stretches, with superb views over the hills.

For a successful outing, set off early in the morning or late in the afternoon: the light is softer and the temperatures more pleasant, especially in summer. Bring plenty of water (at least a large flask), sun protection and a light layer of clothing for the evening. An anti-theft device will also come in handy if you're planning to stroll through the center of town.
