The Mediterranean by bike, the sun route par excellence!

Details on the journey

Get ready for an epic 887.95 km journey along the Mediterranean by bike, from the Franco-Spanish border to charming Draguignan! Discover Provence, its picturesque villages and breathtaking panoramas 😍

A much larger European route

In reality, the Méditérannée à vélo is a much more ambitious project, for those brave enough to take it on. It's the French part of the EuroVelo 8 itinerary, which will eventually link Cadiz (Spain) to Izmir (Turkey), a total distance of 7500 km, no less!

Beaconing

EuroVelo beacons will guide you through 13 varied stages, from the Mediterranean coast to the hills of Provence. Although 90% of the route is well signposted, some sections are still under construction. For example: ➡️ The section along the Canal du Midi between Port-la-Nouvelle and Béziers ➡️ The section between Manosque and Meyrargues (take the train!)

To help you find your way around, make sure you always follow the Mediterranean by bike logo with its [identifier "EuroVelo 8".]
